Last night we had our first race! We drew a high number and ended up starting in the back. Because it was our first race we would have been in the back anyway.

There was a big crash during warmups which brought out a red fag for about 4 mins. We got clipped in the right rear when the yellow came out and the little guy (Not LJ) went airborne and then took a hit to the side from another car. He wasn’t hurt but he did take a hard hit and that took him out. I talked with him and his team after. He’s a tough little dude!

When the race went green LJ quickly made his way to third and when he finally caught the 2^nd place car they battled back and forth for a bunch of laps. He was able to take 2^nd with a few laps remaining.

We are very happy with 2^nd on our first time out. Have a few things to work on but looking forward to the next race.
